Welcome to your local Cats Protection!

The bulk of our work involves the rescue and rehoming of stray or unwanted cats and kittens in Folkestone, Ashford, Hythe and surrounding areas. Those taken into our care are fostered, mainly in purpose-built heated pens, with dedicated and caring volunteers scattered throughout the district.  Some volunteers care for cats and kittens, particularly those needing TLC, in their own homes.  Before re-homing the cats are given a veterinary check and neutered as necessary, vaccinated, wormed and given flea treatment.  Other veterinary treatment is given as required.

As all Cats’ Protection branches have to be self-funding we rely on donations to pay for food and care.  We also maintain collecting boxes for donations of food in the supermarkets in the district.
